David Gilmour

I recently went to see the premier of Gilmour’s latest live in Rome concert in a local theater, brought one of my sons with me, we had a blast.
Really nice recording, the music, the sound, the visuals, the band, the location, the setlist… all top notch. Some candid touching family spirit, and even some rare moments of David getting looser than usual.
Experiencing it on big screen was even better. Highly recomend it!

Pink Floyd and especially David has been one of my main influences for as long as I can remember, he seems to age like a great wine and never ends to refine.
I’m a big fan.

Yes; I was lucky to catch him once, for one of the handful shows he did in 2001 in London/Paris. This was a "hybrid" more "intimate" acoustic/electric set, very unusual, sounded spectacular beyond expectations to be honest, and felt really special seeing him live finally after listening to & loving his music for so long. Still one of my best live concert memories ever.
I sadly missed all the other tours.

When I heard of the latest new album and related tour, I was honestly kind of afraid of seeing him again after all these years and be somewhat disappointed if he couldn't be at the top of it with his playing & singing, especially given the now ticket prices (d'oh!); so kind of dragged my feet when the dates where open, and of course it was very soon sold out.
Seeing that live recording I now wish I didn't get cold feet about it, but I'm glad I at least was able to see it on the big screen and esepcially share that moment with my son (we went to see the Pompeï atmos limited release in theater few months before that too, so was a treat to do those 2 back to back with him).
Ifever he releases another album / tour I'll definitely try to catch him again.

I gotta bring the old Hiwatt rig out again!

I just purchased the the "movie" from iTunes. Loving the live renditions of everything. I'm really enjoying Luck and strange as well. It's fantastic album. I will say it's unfortunate it took me so long to get into Gilmour and Pink Floyd... Although his playing certainly infiltrated my being regardless... I didn't take the fall until maybe 5 years ago. Crazy!
