This is a solo on John Coltrane’s song Impressions from a jam. The song was first recorded during Coltrane’s modal period, and has the same chords as the more familiar Miles Davis song “So What”. The amp is a 100 watt Mark Kane MKIV with a high plate Skyliner voicing, 6L6 tubes, a Bludotone 2x12 cab with G12-65 speakers, a Glaswerks Reverb-A-Loop (Gary Johnson’s version of a Dumbleator with reverb) and the guitar was a Sadowsky Semi-Hollowbody.
