Marshall Line Amp Demo

Something that amazes me about the Marshall Line Amp is that we have 3 different examples posted demonstrating how the amp sounds, and they sound so different because the voice of each of the musicians is so different. The MLA is a highly expressive amp that responds dynamically to your touch, pick attack, and your volume and tone knobs. The result is that when you play through a MLA it is kind of like an extension of your musical spirit.

Exactly how I always see it. The perfect amp is one that doesn’t get in the way of a players expression. I’ve found over the years. Many amps tend to hold that expression up. Almost like a boat that has a governer on it. You know it can go faster or pull more and you want to. But it’s restricted.

Fantastic playing & great recording @FlyingVBlues , thanks for sharing.
I assume that is the offset JTM45-inspired model, ground-up built by Tim?

I agree this amp sounds like it's a great fit to your style, really enjoyed that song. Very "fluid - singing" feeling, immediately makes me think of that Holdsworth / Bill Connors vibe and the Dumble / Kelley character that goes with it in my mind.

Thank you! Yes, the amp is the JTM45-inspired model, built from the ground-up by Tim. The guitar I used was also a big factor in the sound. It is a solid Mahogany 1956 Les Paul Custom converted to humbuckers (1960 PAF's) with an Ebony fretboard and the guitar really sings. It is a perfect match for the MLA and also my 1983 Dumble.

Thanks for the additional info;
That '56 Custom sounds like a fantastic guitar, gets some old Peter Frampton vibe to me; could you please share a few photos of it? Sorry I don't mean to derail this thread, just love those old LP :)
