Can we talk about speakers for a minute?

that would be awesome. i need to get tim to make me a 1x12 with just standard black tolex to use as a utility cab. i have a 1x15 mojotone and it sounds ok, but tim's cabs add another dimension to amps.

You aren’t likely to see this again. Except for Tim. I’ve never seen this before and have been buying up speakers since I was 12. Each speaker, inspected and proved with frequency specs by Tim himself. As well as taking the time to notate what speaker by serial. Each one must meet or exceed the spec of the protos. He’s had to reject a couple so far from what he said.

Yeah the only pitfall of doing a Marshall “like” box is they get pigeon holed into an over saturated Marshall box market. The very reason the aesthetic look of this amp was matched as closely as possible (minus the 2 leather handles and Bakelite knobs) to the original 63 offset.

It’s a very classy look and not one company even Marshall has ever reissued or copied it correctly. Regarding the Bakelite knobs. They were left out due to the need for concentric pots in the volume positions. Otherwise they would’ve been used. The brown leather strap handles not being used was a logical improvement.

I can pretty much guarantee that no other Marshall box has as much detail and design considerations going into it for historical accuracy. Tim spared no expense building these even down to the leather covering and original nos pilot light.
