The name on the front panel is actually Fonix in Icelandic. Tim didn’t want people confusing that with say an Ultraphonix amp. So he put the name in English on the back of the amp. “Phoenix”

confusing? Perhaps a bit. I asked the same question when he sent out 001.

The other amps. The Falcon and the Eagle are some the same way.
